Who We Are
Here at Roots & Wings Preschool, we foster social development through creative, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and support learning. From Color Day to science experiments, our engaging environment encourages exploration and helps children better understand the world around them.
Our academic programs are tailored to meet each child’s learning style, incorporating literature, problem-solving, science, early computer skills, and language development. Through diverse learning centers, children build important social skills such as teamwork, communication, patience, and sharing.
Our Facility
At Roots & Wings Preschool, classroom design goes beyond aesthetics—it plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Each age group has its own dedicated classroom, thoughtfully arranged and fully equipped to support both play and development. Our classroom layouts are intentionally designed to promote confidence, foster positive relationships, and encourage active learning.
Classrooms are organized around themed, age-appropriate learning centers that evolve throughout the year. These centers feature a variety of materials and activities that support growth across all developmental domains.
Children are grouped based on their anticipated kindergarten entry year, allowing them—and their families—to build strong, lasting connections as they grow together during their time at our preschool.
Jewish Values, Traditions & Community
Roots & Wings Preschool is proud to be the only Conservative Jewish preschool in Lee County, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment where children and families from all backgrounds can learn, grow, and feel a strong sense of community.
Throughout the year, children are introduced to Jewish holidays, traditions, stories, songs, Hebrew words, and celebrations. We celebrate Shabbat together and create hands-on experiences that allow children to discover the meaning behind these traditions.
At the heart of our program are universal values that every child can understand and practice. We teach children about kindness, compassion, respect, gratitude, helping others, responsibility, honesty, and caring for our community. These values become part of everyday classroom experiences as children learn to share, include others, solve problems, show empathy, and make thoughtful choices.
Our goal is to create an environment where children can learn about and appreciate a culture and tradition different from their own while discovering values that can guide them throughout their lives. Whether a child grows up in a Jewish home or is simply being introduced to Jewish traditions for the first time, every child is given the opportunity to learn, ask questions, participate, and feel included.

Security
At Roots & Wings Preschool, your child’s safety is our top priority. We’ve enhanced our security measures with upgraded surveillance systems, including new cameras and monitors, and installed 6-foot fencing around all outdoor play areas. We also partner closely with the Lee County Sheriff's Office to ensure ongoing safety and preparedness. We also have a security company to be on campus for while the children are on campus.
