Welcome to our preschool, where every day is a new adventure in learning and growing together! Whether your child is taking their very first steps into a classroom or discovering new skills, we’re here to nurture, guide, and celebrate each milestone along the way.

At Roots & Wings Preschool (formerly Temple Judea Preschool), our motto, “Planted with Love, Ready to Soar,” represents the journey we take with every child. We believe children thrive when they are nurtured in a loving, supportive environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. Like a seed that needs care, patience, and strong roots to grow, children need a strong foundation of love, confidence, social-emotional skills, and meaningful learning experiences.

As the only Conservative Jewish preschool in Lee County, we are proud to provide children and families with an early childhood experience that celebrates Jewish values, traditions, community, and a love of learning. Through age-appropriate experiences, we introduce children to Jewish traditions, holidays, and the values of kindness, compassion, respect, and community. We believe these experiences help children develop a strong sense of belonging while learning to appreciate and care for the world around them.

As children grow, we help them develop the skills, independence, curiosity, and confidence they need to spread their wings. By the time they are ready to move on from Roots & Wings, our hope is that they feel prepared to soar into their next adventure—excited to learn, ready to grow, and confident in who they are.

Planted with Love, Ready to Soar

Who we are

At Roots & Wings, we are proud to be a nonprofit preschool with more than 35 years of serving children and families in our community. For generations, we have provided a nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, build friendships, and develop a strong foundation for their future.

We foster social development through creative, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and inspire a love of learning. From Color Days and engaging art projects to exciting science experiments, our classrooms provide children with opportunities to explore, discover, and better understand the world around them.

Our academic programs are thoughtfully designed to support each child’s unique learning style and developmental needs. Through literature, problem-solving, science, language development, and diverse learning centers, children are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and build confidence as learners.

Along the way, children develop essential social-emotional skills, including teamwork, communication, patience, cooperation, and sharing. We believe that when children feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn, they are planted with love and ready to soar.
